An interesting article, but not as surprising as one might think; people have an inherent desire to succeed easily, especially if it means gaining a certain level of superiority over a potential competitor. I did enjoy that the article discusses the concept of “reciprocal altruism,” which explains how even a person’s drive to do charitable, good works is essentially self-serving. We truly are strange, interesting creatures. Also, congratulations to the authors on their publication!
